Materials:
Soft Touch beading wire
clasps
sterling silver crimp tubes (2mm x 2mm here)
Tools:
chain nose pliers (flat jaws)
1. On one end of the beading wire, add a crimp tubes and one end of your clasp. A lobster clasp is shown here.
2. Feed the end of the wire back through the crimp bead, forming a closed loop that encloses the clasp.
3. Pull the loop or move crimp bead to tighten the loop. Don't get it *too* tight though, or the clasp won't lay right.
4. Use the pliers to flatten the crimp tube; it will flatten into a nice neat rectangle. Move your beads down to cover up the excess wire for a nice finished look.
5. Repeat this process on the other end of the necklace. It will be a little trickier here to get rid of the excess length and tighten up the necklace. Make sure to hide the excess wire beneath your beads - this just makes your creation look more finished and neat.
